How does salt reacts with ice?

When salt is sprinkled on ice, the salt reacts. The salt melts faster.Water is made of H2O,H2O has two hydrogen molecules and one oxygen molecules. Frozen water has tight bonds. The salt cracks strong bonds between H2O. This science is used to melt ice on the roads.

How does salt react with ice?

Water is made out of hydrogen and oxygen. When the water freezes the bonds connect together tightly. When you sprinkle salt on the ice the bonds break apart which are energy. That makes friction that is hot. That makes the ice melt faster. This science is use on icy roads and other uses.

Fluency Fotobabbles

Zac and Sammy were working hard on their CAFE reading strategies today.

First we read accurately by using our searchlights (Does it look right? Does it sound right? Does it make sense?)

Then we practised our fluency, by reading our sentences over and over again to get them sounding good.

Finally we recorded our reading on fotobabble to hear our accuracy and fluency... Have a listen:
